Here you will find a list of all available Side Missions available in Monster Hunter Wilds.

There are some nice rewards and items to get so do not sleep on them.

Down below we will go over how to go about finishing them and what is needed to do so.

During the completion of some of the Side missions there are a few Awards that can be unlocked or the tools need to:

A Step Toward Mutual Understanding – Completed your first side mission

Angling for a Bite – Successfully fished for the first time. (Usually obtained through Kanya’s missions)

East to West, A Hunter Never Rests – Completed 30 different side missions

I Caught a Shooting Star! – Capture a Sandstar (Finish Samin’s Special Research Report)

A-fish-ionado – Caught 30 Whoppers (You need the Tuff Joint Bait obtained from Kanya)

Monster (Squid) Hunter – Caught a Goliath Squid while fishing (You need the Tentacle Jig obtained from Kanya)

Dareel

Dareel's Research Report

Mission: Capture a Tracktail Lizard

Reward: 10x

The best way to go about capturing a Tracktail Lizard is to head to the Plains and head to area 11 or 13 near the Oasis Campsite.

Be sure to equip your Capture Net and have your Ghillie Mantle ready as they will make a run for it once you get to close.

Once captured report back to Dareel and claim your reward.

Dareel's Research Report (Cont)

Mission: Capture an Ember Rufflizard

Reward: 10x 5x

Ember Rufflizards can be found all over the Oilwell Basin.

Notebly found in hot places like area 2, 3, 4 and 15.

Be sure to equip your Capture Net and have your Ghillie Mantle ready as they might make a run for it once you get to close.

Once captured report back to Dareel and claim your rewards.

Dareel's Special Research Report

Mission: Capture a Gillopod

Reward: 10x 5x

Gillopod can be found in the Ruins of Wyveria.

Right outside of camp Area 2 there is a big wall with a chance for them to appear on.

The Gillopod are a little bit bigger and have orange glowing eyes.

If it did not spawn fast travel to a different location and come back to check once more.

Be sure to equip your Capture Net and grab it.

Once captured report back to Dareel and claim your rewards.

Samin

Samin's Research Report

Mission: Capture a Dapperwing

Reward: 10x 5x

The Easiest way to capture a Dapperwing would be to head over to camp site 14: Southwest they are usually all around the camp.

Be sure to equip your Capture Net and have your Ghillie Mantle ready as they might make a run for it once you get to close.

Once captured report back to Samin and claim your rewards.

Samin's Research Report (Cont)

Mission: Capture a Rime Beetle

Reward: 10x 5x

To find yourself a Rime Beetle, simply head to the Iceshard Cliffs and go to Area 7, which is right outside of Base Camp.

Once captured report back to Samir and claim your rewards.

Samin's Special Research Report

Mission: Capture a Sandstar

Reward: 5x 10x

Award: I Caught a Shooting Star!

The Sandstar can be found around area 11 in the Windward Plains at night and during a Plenty enviourment. Rest at a camp to set the coditions.

The Sandstar is a tricky one, because once you have spotted it and come in it’s field of awareness it will make a run for it So in order to capture it we will need to prepare.

We want to either bring our ownScreamer pods or grab some from the local Baunos.

Once we have this we can begin. Find the Sandstar and shoot a Screamer Pot at it. This will Stun it and gives you time to run over equip your Capture Net and capture it runs away again. If this where to happen you can still try again so don’t give up.Once captured report back to Samin and claim your rewards.

Kanya

Fishing: Life, in Microcosm

Mission: Capture a Fish

Reward: 5x 5x

Award: Angling for a Bite

Nameplate: Tasteful Threads: Navy Blue

The simplest way to go catch a fish is in the water right next to Kanya.

Using your Capture Net does NOT count.

Get out your Fishing Rod and throw it in either side.

Do a slow reel and that should get their attention and bite.

Once captured report back to Kanya and claim your rewards.

Seeking The Goldenfish

Mission: Capture a Goldenfish

Reward: 5x 5x

One of the best spots to catch Goldenfish is the Camp in Area 8: Underground Lake.

Using your Capture Net does NOT count.

Get out your Fishing Rod and be sure to the new lure Kanya gave you,

the Golden Bughead, Simply using this lure will get their attention and bite.

Once captured report back to Kanya and claim your rewards.

Fishing for Flavor

Mission: Capture a Gravid Bowfin

Reward: 3x 5x

The Gravid Bowfin is a tricky fish to find, the best way to go about this is to travel in between 2 pop-up camps and check the water. What you are looking for is an orange fish. Take note that it might take a few seconds for al the fish to spawn in.

You will be able to find it in the Plains Area 13: Oasis and in the Basin Area 12: Crimson Rivulet. If it does not show up fast travelto the other camp ant try again.

Using your Capture Net will NOT count.

Use the Emerald Jitterbait, you will notice that other fish might take the bait before the Gravid Bowfin, but keep fishing the others out and eventually you will get it..

Once captured report back to Kanya and claim your rewards.

The Catch of a Lifetime

Mission: Capture a Whopper

Reward: 5x 5x

New Lure: Tuff Joint Bait + Duster Rig

A Whopper, is a Large fish that struggle and try to break lose.

Whoppers include: Gastonome Tuna, Gajau, Speartuna. Which all can be caught in Area 17 in the Scarlet Forest. When attempting to catch it make sure you move your fishing line in the direction the fish is going. Take your time and reel it in when it tires.

Be sure to use the Tuff Joint Bait, Wiggle it infront of them and they should bite.

Once captured report back to Kanya and claim your rewards.

Razzle Dazzle

Mission: Capture a Grand Escunite

Reward: 5x 5x 3x 2x

New Lure: Tentacle Jig

One of the best spots to catch the Grand Escunite is the Camp in Area 8: Underground Lake. There are 2 places in the cave for it to spawn so be sure to check both spots.

Using your Capture Net will NOT count.

Get out your Fishing Rod and be sure to the new lure Kanya gave you,

the Tentacle Jig, Simply using this lure will get it’s attention and bite.

Once captured report back to Kanya and claim your rewards.

Your Palico

Healing Help

Mission: Capture a Vigorwasp

Reward: 10x

Support Move: Attract Vigorwasps

The Simplest way to go catch a Vigorwasp is to open your map and set a waypoint.

Once captured report back to Your Palico at any camp and claim your rewards.

Flash Course

Mission: Capture some Flashflies

Reward: 10x

Support Move: Flashfly Cage

The Simplest way to catch some Flashflies is to open your map and set a waypoint.

Once captured report back to Your Palico at any camp and claim your rewards.

Rath-from-Above, Go!

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 10x

Support Move: Rath-from-Above

This Quest will have you hunt a Quematrice in the Windward Plains.

Once hunted report back to Your Palico at camp and claim your rewards.

Purrfect Plundering

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 5x

Support Move: Plunderang

This Quest will have you hunt a Guardian Ebony Odogaron in the Ruins Of Wyveria.

Having Nulberries with you to get rid of the Dragonblight is advised.

Once hunted report back to Your Palico at camp and claim your rewards.

A Gutsy Move

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 3x 5x

Support Move: Vigorwasp Revival

Unlocks: 3 New Titles

Nameplate: Animal Kingdom

The Simplest way to go catch a Vigorwasp is to open your map and set a waypoint.

There is a higher abundance of Giant Vigorwasps during the Plenty environment.

Once captured report back to Your Palico at any camp and claim your rewards.

Gemma

High-Quality Materials

Mission: Deliver a Chatacabra Hide+

Reward: 10x

Pendant: Kut-Ku Plushie

You will need to hunt a High Rank Chatacabra in order to get the Chatacabra Hide+.

Destroying wounds will give you one of the highest chances to get one.

Once obtained report back to Gemma and claim your rewards.

Smithy's Seal of Quality

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 10x

Unlocks: Gemma as a Hunting Assistant

Once the quest starts head over to area 12 where Gemma is waiting for you. Lala Barina should be close by so engage it and lure it over so the trap can be used.

In case Lala Barina is not near, using a Lure Pod will make the monster follow you so you can lure it over to Gemma.

Once you finish the quest report back to Gemma and claim your rewards.

Zatoh

Beware the Gypceros

Mission: Hunt a Gypceros in the Windward Plains

Reward: 1x 3x

Unlocks: Material collection Plains

You will need to hunt a Gypceros in the Plains during Fallow environment.

Simply open up your map and engage a Gypceros.

Rest at any camp to set it to Fallow environment.

Once hunted report back to Zatoh and claim your rewards.

Aida

Aida's Apprehensions

Mission: Hunt a Rompopolo in the Oilwell Basin

Reward: 1x 5x

Unlocks: Material collection Basin

You will need to hunt a Rompopolo in the Basin.

Simply open up your map and engage a Rompopolo.

Once hunted report back to Aida and claim your rewards.

Cobb

Secure Wounded Hollow

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 8x 5x 3x

Unlocks: Armor Charm

You will need to hunt 2 Hirabami in the Wounded Hollow.

Be sure to use your Ghillie Mantle to get a breather or use it to close the Fence.

Note that you can use your slinger to grab the handle to close the Fence.

Once hunted report back to Cobb and claim your rewards.

Plumpeach

Make Fluffy Dealings

Mission: Deliver Vibrant Pelt+

Reward: 1x 3x

Unlocks: Material collection Forest

You will need to hunt a High Rank Congalala in order to get the Vibrant Pelt+

Breaking the head will give you a 100% to get one. So aim for that.

Once obtained report back to Plumpeach and claim your rewards.

Fur Damagings are Dislikeworthy

Mission: Hunt a Rompopolo in the Oilwell Basin

Reward: 3x 30x

You will need to hunt both a Tempered Lala Barina and Tempered Congalala in the Scarlet Forest.

If possible try to innitiate a Turf War between the two monsters for some extra free damage. And bringing some Deodarant to cure Stench can prove useful.

Once hunted report back to Plumpeach and claim your rewards.

Rove

Aberrant Atrocity

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 5x 2x

This quest will have you hunt a Frenzied Yian Kut-Ku.

Having Nulberries with you will help againt the frenzy virus.

Once hunted report back to Rove and claim your rewards.

Alma

What We Protect

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 10x 1x

Unlocks: New design for Artian α Armor

This quest will have you hunt a Blangonga in the Iceshard Cliffs.

Having Nulberries with you will help get rid of the Iceblight.

Once hunted report back to Alma and claim your rewards.

Erik

Forest Doshaguma

Mission: Capture a Doshaguma

Reward: 20x 10x

You will need to Capture a Doshaguma and despite what Erik said, any Doshaguma will do just fine.

Make sure to take Tranq bombs and a Shock Trap and/or Pitfall Trap with you.

Killing the Doshaguma will fail you the Mission and you have to try again.

Once captured report back to Erik and claim your rewards.

Dogard

Succulent Scraps

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 5x 1x

Pendant: Azuz: Mark of Gratitude

This quest will have you hunt a Gravios in the Oilwell Basin.

You will be fighting in the lowest parts of the Basin so prepare accordingly.

Once hunted report back to Dogard and claim your rewards.

Rex

As Gate Keeper

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 3x 5x 3x

Unlocks: Power Charm

You will need to hunt 2 Ajarakan in the Wounded Hollow.

Be sure to use your Ghillie Mantle to get a breather or use it to close the Fence.

Note that you can use your slinger to grab the handle to close the Fence.

Once hunted report back to Rex and claim your rewards.

Werner

Werner's Test Run

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 10x 5x

Unlocks: Werner as a Hunting Assistant

Once the quest starts head over to area 6 where Werner is waiting for you.

Guardian Doshaguma should be close by so engage it and lure it over so the trap can be used.

In case Guardian Doshaguma is not near, using a Lure Pod will make the monster follow you so you can lure it over to Werner.

Once you finish the quest report back to Werner and claim your rewards.

Tasheen

Astonishing Adaptability

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 1x 10x

Unlocks: Material collection Wyveria

This quest will have you hunt a Xu Wu in the Ruins of Wyveria.

You will be fighting in the lowest parts of Wyveria so placing a pop-up camp near might be useful.

Once hunted report back to Tasheen and claim your rewards.

Y’sai

A Leviathan's Temper

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 1x5x

Seikret Backflip

Play with Seikret’s Tail

Seikret Gear: Windsinger Mountdress

You will need to hunt a Tempered Balahara in the Windward Plains.

Taking some Screamer Pods might bbe of use.

Once hunted report back to Y’sai and claim your rewards.

Rysher

The Struggle to Survive

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 3x 10x

You will need to hunt both a Tempered Xu Wu and Tempered Guardian Ebony Odogaron in the Ruins of Wyveria. Bringing Nulberries will help get rid of the Dragonblight.

If possible try to innitiate a Turf War between the two monsters for some extra free damage.

Once hunted report back to Rysher and claim your rewards.

Murtabak

Continuing Conflict

Mission: Accept the Optional Quest

Reward: 3x 20x

New Gesture: Jam Session: Udu

You will need to hunt both a Tempered Rathian and Tempered Quematrice in the Windward Plains.

If possible try to innitiate a Turf War between the two monsters for some extra free damage. And bringing some Antidote to cure Poison can prove useful.

Once hunted report back to Murtabak and claim your rewards.
